National Accounts Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The National Accounts Analyst supports the National Accounts team by providing data driven analytics and presentations that the sales team utilizes to ensure successful sales pitches in targeted key accounts. This includes data mining & analysis, developing fact-based selling stories, attending key account calls & presenting data findings, and assisting in space & assortment validation. This candidate must currently reside in the state of California.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:

•  Work with existing Firestone Walker data sources (VIP Reporting & Syndicated Data) to provide analysis on distribution, promotional, and pricing opportunities
• Develop reports to accurately analyze new distribution & programming execution
•  Create scorecards to manage key account & business metric performance
• Manage both retailer data platforms & our syndicated data tool, conduct analysis as needed, and develop recommendations to drive sales
• Develop selling story templates that our national accounts team can utilize for buyer calls to drive new distribution & programming
• Assist with presentation development for National Accounts calls
• Attend select buyer calls to review and explain complex data & insights
• Participate in reviewing retailer assortment – including schematic validation for key accounts & make fact-based recommendations to enhance retailer category performance
• Conduct business in a professional manner and refrain from being intoxicated during Company time or while wearing Firestone Walker attire
• Maintain all outlined budgets
• Adhere to all ethical business practices and be responsible in our “distribution” market always
• Other duties as assigned

OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting:

• Submit required administrative reports in timely manner
• Create weekly sales itinerary (to be submitted to Data & Insights Manager for the upcoming week): including proper format of schedule, past weeks’ activities, and summary of the upcoming week’s activities
• Submit monthly expense report by expected due date
•  Report and track incidents on an as appropriate basis

Professional Presence:

• Always showcase FW logo brand withing standards that adhere with marketing guidelines
• Adhere by dress code expectation as listed in the FW employee handbook

Communication:

• Set weekly priorities/goals and present to Data & Insights Manager
• Relay any changes to your Data & Insights Manager of your submitted weekly plan

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must reside in the state of California. San Luis Obispo County or the greater Los Angeles area preferred, but not required
• 4-year college degree or equivalent                                                                                                                
• Experience working with IRI/Nielsen data reporting required
• 3+ years data analysis experience (preferably in CPG/Alcohol Beverage) required
• Required strong Excel knowledge
• Basic mathematical skills
•  Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to analyze complex data and pull-out insights that the sales team can utilize
• Ability to present selling stories to critical stakeholders
•  Ability to actively listen to key stakeholders needs and develop solutions to match those needs
•  Decision making-collect, assess and interpret relevant information and make sound judgment
• Proficient in Access Databases, SQL, Python, or other Script Writing a plus but not required
• Convey information effectively to others
• Influence others decision making or persuading others to change their minds or behavior
• Ability to manage priorities and routine functions effectively and efficiently
• Maintain social perceptiveness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
