Job description

About Us

Ediphi’s mission is to empower the people who plan the built world. We offer the most advanced cloud-based estimating solution purpose-built for modern preconstruction! Our goal is to shorten the time spent in preconstruction so that projects start more quickly and teams can be more confident of their outcomes. Modern construction estimating is a significant challenge and existing solutions revolve around spreadsheet nightmares! Michael Navarro was an estimating veteran at Suffolk and knew there was a better way. He and the team developed a platform built for estimators, by estimators. In 2023, he teamed up with Dustin DeVan, founder of BuildingConnected (which was acquired by Autodesk for $275 million), to launch their solution as an independent company, now known as Ediphi! We recently raised a $12M Series A round led by Norwest Venture Partners with continuing participation from Suffolk Technologies. We've set huge company goals to launch Ediphi as a SaaS offering for GCs around the country! That’s where YOU come in.

About This Role

The Role

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our collaborative, high-impact feature teams. We work in a Trifecta model, meaning you’ll partner closely with a Product Manager and Designer to shape the team’s roadmap, empower engineers to grow and excel, and ensure we ship high-quality software—iteratively and with purpose.

This role requires technical experience in Node.js and React (or similar modern web technologies) as well as a passion for mentoring engineers, fostering collaboration, and driving outcomes in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and grow a high-functioning team of engineers.

  • Partner with Product and Design to define, prioritize, and deliver impactful features.

  • Foster technical excellence – Partner with engineers to drive smart technical decisions while keeping speed, scalability, and quality in balance.

  • Be hands-on (we're a start up!) – Whether reviewing code, contributing to architecture, or helping remove roadblocks, you’ll lead by example.

  • Build an inclusive, learning-focused culture – Prioritize psychological safety, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

  • Help recruit and onboard top-tier engineering talent.

  • Lead and support a fully remote, globally distributed team – fostering collaboration across time zones (usually meeting between 8am PT - 11am PT) while ensuring alignment, clear communication, and a cohesive team culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of engineering management experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving environment.

  • Technical expertise in Node.js and React (or similar modern web technologies).

  • A collaborative mindset—you thrive at the intersection of Engineering, Product, and Design.

  • Experience driving high-quality, iterative development processes (agile, lean, healthy culture of testing, etc.).

  • Impactful communication and leadership skills, with a focus on mentorship and team growth.

  • Bonus: Experience in construction or financial tech – While not required, familiarity building construction tech or financial products is a plus.

Why take on this role?

  • Opportunity for real impact – Help shape the culture, direction, and success of a fast-moving startup.

  • Supportive leadership team – Work with experienced leaders who prioritize growth and well-being.

  • Competitive compensation and growth potential – Be part of something big, where your contributions have an outsized impact, both professionally and financially.

  • Change an industry while improving how people work (you'll see what I mean from what our customers are saying)

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and stock options

  • Unlimited PTO (and we actually encourage you to use it)

  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • Parental leave

  • A phenomenal, remote-first team that deeply cares about creating great products

Join us!

At Ediphi, our values are passion, integrity, curiosity, humility, and openness. If this sounds like a team you'd like to be part of, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your relevant experience for this position. We're excited to hear from you!

Building a fantastic product requires building an amazing, diverse team. Diversity in life and perspective is the driver of creativity and innovation! Thus, we do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We invite candidates from all backgrounds to join our mission. At this time, we’re only hiring applicants located in the U.S. or Canada who do not require a visa sponsorship. Check back in the future, though, as we grow!
