Job description

Role Overview:

PIC North America, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a highly motivated Digital Phenotyping Specialist will be responsible for deploying, implementing, and supporting PIC’s high-throughput digital phenotyping platforms. This role can be located remotely within the U.S. This position will be responsible for assisting in efforts that transform the way phenotypic data is collected and utilized within the genetic improvement program.

 

The successful candidate has the ability to work in a culturally diverse, fast-paced environment and can work collaboratively across functional teams. The candidate is a strong communicator and possesses strong analytical skills with the ability to efficiently collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

You Will:
  • Deploy and support existing digital technologies developed by PIC’s in-house digital phenotyping engineers
  • Maintain flows of data from farm to computing resources, including on-premises and cloud computing
  • Install, trouble-shoot, and provide hardware support of remote digital phenotyping platforms
  • Execute testing plans of 3rd party digital tools for performance traits
  • Maintain quality control of data capture and labeling systems
  • Effectively communicate the status and results of research projects.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Agriculture/Biosystems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in statistics, signal processing, time series data, and machine learning
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with MS Office suite as well as other relevant software platforms, including Python, scripting, and SQL databases
