The Position Summary:
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) for search is responsible for ownership of the product backlog and being the voice of the customer with engineering teams, partnering closely with Customer Success, Support, and Threat Research to understand and align priorities. In addition to owning tactical priorities, this role will also be responsible for development of roadmap initiatives and qualitative/quantitative business cases were necessary for new product or feature investment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Manage the engineering backlog of one or more scrum teams, attending regular scrum/agile meetings.
· Lead requirement definition and prioritization for incremental feature enhancements, bugs, and new features.
· Develop strong non-functional requirements for search performance across different data stores, and use cases.
· Manage multiple high-priority features at a time, clearly communicating timelines, impact, and expectations to multiple stakeholders at all levels for the company.
· Create supporting materials for existing and new features including but not limited to release notes, technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and training videos.
· Act as the primary point of escalation for third party teams interfacing with engineering, including Support and Customer success.
Desired Skills:
· 5 or more years working as a Product Manager managing SIEM/EDR/NDR/XDR/UEBA products.
· 1+ years’ experience either as a product owner for a security or IT product. Alternatively 1+ years’ experience working as an L2 or L3 SOC Analyst.
· Experience working with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Elastic, Hadoop, Solr, Athena, Snowflake, DataBricks,
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· A demonstrated ability to work closely with development and engineering teams.
· Experience with agile practices and scrum
· A basic understanding of modern SaaS microservices architecture is preferred.
· Demonstrated technical acumen – will need to be able to interface with Engineers and map requirements back to technical architecture.
· BA in Engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key team members across the company, creating evangelists for new products or major product changes.
