Job description

The Generation team at SmartestEnergy is focused on contracting Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with generators in the UK electricity market. We do this by providing generators with a route to market for their power and renewable certificates, along with a range of risk management tools.

In this role you will develop and grow business with primarily new, but also existing customers, as well as managing and reporting on behalf of a sales team with agreed objectives with the Head of Sales.

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Familiarity with energy supplier operations and the generation market;
  • Experience of influencing and developing relationships at varying levels within businesses, both internally and externally;
  • Experience in commercial negotiations and Account/Business Development in the business to business sector;
  • Managing third party intermediaries or key customer accounts within the energy sector;
  • Knowledge of the role and complexities of Power Purchase Agreements.
