The Role will assist Sales growth / profitability through Direct sales activities, facilitate new
customer generation and project management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for Sales Growth (Achieve Sales Target) and Profitability (Achieve Profit
Target) for the Business Development Function.
New Business Focus: Generate and convert projects for Business new customers. Manage
project cycle and velocity.
Pursue sales leads / prospects generated by the Market Research Executive, visit new
customers with the focus on Generation of Projects for Sales Growth.
Build customer relationships and strategic partnerships, assess customer needs and
recommend appropriate products and services; respond to complex customer inquiries;
negotiate prices and delivery times, and win sales orders to meet sales targets. Utilize
Trelleborg resources where appropriate and needed.
Identify, research, and contact prospective target customers that will generate future sales
and repeat business.
Provide market feedback and intelligence on the specific region/segment
Promote standard products, and custom engineered products where needed. Be a total
solution provider.
Ensure timely flow of quotations in order to maximize our competitive edge and win
order.
Establish annual, quarterly, monthly and/or weekly strategic sales visit, and customer
action plans and prioritize and schedule own activities to win projects at faster pace.
Work with Marketing department to increase Trelleborg Brand Awareness and identify
Marketing needs and opportunities for territory.
Learn and utilize internal processes
Develop and implement procedures to ensure that customer projects, quotations and
orders are processed efficiently, correctly and in a timely manner.
Ensure full compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures including Quality Manual
and Quality Procedures.
Profiles
7-8 years of work experience in sales preferably in Industrial (Fluid Power, Nonfluid
Power) segment.
Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering.
Demonstrates strong technical aptitude. Must be able to read and understand technical
prints
Strong knowledge of business sales and marketing practices
Strong experience in Hydraulic, Cylinder application, Seals and OEM
Knowledge of rubber/plastic, products is expected
Experience in sealing technology and related knowledge of materials like PTFE,
Elastomers is an advantage
Familiarity with ISO quality requirements is beneficial
Excellent Customer Focus and understanding of Total Customer Satisfaction
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with teams Marketing &
Communication Team, Trelleborg India Sales Team, Application Engineer Team and
Global Segment Community.
