The Head of Taxation at a Renewable Company is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization. This role plays a critical role in ensuring tax efficiency, minimizing tax risks, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. The Head of Taxation will collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to develop and execute tax strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
Given multiple entities and projects at different stage, the role of Head – Taxation is critical to ensure that organization is on the right side of the law with all the requisite compliances.
 
1. Managing complete tax portfolio of the business (direct and indirect taxes)
 
2. Formulating tax policies and tax planning of the business
 
3. Complete tax compliance of the business
 
4. Handling of all direct and indirect tax matters on day to day basis
 
5. Filing of all direct and indirect tax returns (monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns)
 
6. Handling tax assessments, queries, appeals etc and close monitoring of all the open tax matters (both direct and indirect tax)
 
7. Handling various appeals at different assessment levels
 
8. Close coordination with various tax consultants and with internal/statutory auditors
 
9. Support for valuation of the business from time to time
 
10. Support for tax assumption for various bids/financial model
 
11. Completion of tax audit of various SPVs of the business
