Job description

What is the point of this role?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated technologist to join our Pre-Sales Solution Architecture practice within the cloud team. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a highly successful team that is at the very forefront of cloud technology and working on some of the country’s most exciting and ambitious cloud migration projects.

In particular, we are looking for candidates with a strong Azure/ AWS & Managed Service background to support the expanding managed service offering, whilst a good understanding of Private Cloud and traditional on-premises environments would be advantageous.

What will I be doing?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for: Cloud infrastructure pre-sales engagements and will work with the account manager/ sales specialists during customer facing engagement to develop and produce:

  • Proposals
  • Presentations
  • Demonstrations
  • Business Cases
  • Proof of Concepts

Deliver ANS specific engagements directly with customers across the following areas:

  • Qualify and identify datacentre migration opportunities
  • Engage in detailed analysis and assessment of current solutions
  • Customer facing technical design workshops
  • Develop cloud transition plans and target operating models
  • Target state architecture designs
  • Create and demonstrate TCO/ ROI business case outputs

Practice Development – Work with the public cloud practice-lead to help develop & deliver:

  • New solutions and Go-to-market offerings aligned to ANS’ engagement model
  • Offerings that align and build on Microsoft and AWS’ current and Future engagement models
  • Solution Accelerators and Productised offerings aligned to specific use cases and verticals
  • Create video content for marketing material, Linkedin etc

What will I bring to the role?

  • ­Experience in the design and build of Managed Service based solutions in Azure/ AWS, and ideally Private Cloud environments
  • Previous demonstrable experience in cloud computing technologies
    • Microsoft Azure (Must have)
    • Amazon AWS (Ideal)
    • Private Cloud (Ideal)
  • IaaS & PaaS platform architecture experience
  • Ability to engage with customers and discuss current application requirements and the transition to a public or hybrid cloud
  • Ability to articulate benefits of automation and orchestration in modern cloud infrastructures
  •  Good awareness of new-age tooling for application development

What is needed to do the role?

Any suitable candidate should have a number of industry relevant certifications. In particular relating to Public and Private Cloud technologies.

Existing UK Government Security Clearance and / or NPPV v3 vetting would be advantageous
