A Brief Overview

The US LBM Digital Customer Experience (DCX) Technical Analyst develops data driven analytical insights, proof of concept prototyping and implementation support to the DCX team. This person will work closely with Digital Product Managers, Sales and Operations teams, Engineering, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and business improvement opportunities. This position will leverage large scale data analysis to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision making throughout the product lifecycle.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Digital Product Managers and business stakeholders to identify business improvement and optimization opportunities as part of technology product development and strategic planning.
  • Define and document technical requirements and specifications for new features, enhancements, and product releases.
  • Write and optimize code (e.g., SQL, Python, or similar languages) to query product data, analyze system behavior, and generate insights. Create automated scripts or tools to streamline data collection and reporting for product performance analysis.
  • Maintain clear, concise technical documentation for product features, specifications, user stories, and workflows. Ensure documentation is accessible and updated regularly.
  • Act as a liaison between the Product Management team and technical teams (e.g., developers, architects, and QA) to ensure alignment on technical requirements, timelines, and deliverables
  • Leverage coding and query skills to analyze product performance data, system logs, and user behavior. Provide actionable insights through reports and dashboards to drive product improvements.
  • Assist in the creation of test plans and use cases to ensure the product meets technical specifications. Develop proof-of-concept tools and models in the product development process. Participate in product testing to validate that features function as intended and resolve any technical issues.
  • Provide implementation and usage support to ensure tech tools built reach the point of business impact.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, or a similar technical role within a product development environment.

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or similar to write complex queries and automate data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to present data insights clearly and effectively.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Strong technical background, with familiarity in software architecture, APIs, databases, and system integrations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting technical issues and resolving data-related challenges.
  • Experience using project management and product management tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
