Job description

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Student to join our team. This internship provides hands-on experience in creating and validating cybersecurity simulation with real-world cybersecurity challenges, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessments, and security operations. You will work closely with our cyber content experts who have over 100 years of cyber operations experience to enhance content and gain valuable industry experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Cyberbit content in individual and team based scenarios.
  • Build cyber range environment and scenarios.
  • Analyze learning models to increase the learning experience in our platform. 

Cyberbit content covers a wide range of security topics in depth including incident response, forensics, red teaming, governance risk and compliance. The topics are provided over a range of real world environments to secure AWS, Azure, GCP, and Windows corporate networks. You will learn and perform the following tasks while working with the content.

  • Monitorand analyze security alerts from various security tools.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Perform incident response efforts, including investigation and documentation.
  • Research and evaluate cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends.
  • Develop security policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Perform system hardening and security configurations.
  • Participate in simulated cyber-attack exercises (red team/blue team activities).
  • Maintain and update content documentation and reports.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection, and encryption.
  • Familiarity with security tools such as Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, or SIEM platforms.
  • Understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risk management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for cybersecurity and eagerness to learn.
  • Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or Cisco CyberOps Associate) are a plus but not required.
