Role Overview:

ABS Global, a Genus Company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Global Demand Planner to support our Supply Chain team in the S&OP process. This position has remote and hybrid work options with the ability to be at our office in Deforest, WI as needed.

 

The Global Demand Planner has primary accountability for managing demand forecasts across multiple regions, collaborating with regional Commercial teams to consolidate and align global demand plans. This role will ensure forecast accuracy, manage inventory risks, and contribute to the success of the S&OP process.

 

The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $95,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will:
  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by consolidating inputs from regional demand planners and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to align demand plans and present insights during the monthly S&OP cycle.
  • Act as a liaison between regional teams, Sales, PLM, Finance, and Supply Planning to ensure demand forecast alignment.
  • Utilize statistical models, historical data, and market insights to build robust forecasts.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement improvements to enhance performance.
  • Evaluate the impact of potential demand shifts through "what-if" analyses.
  • Prepare and present global demand reports to senior leadership, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data across global planning tools, working with IT to resolve data issues.
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Statistics, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or APICS certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years in demand planning or forecasting roles, with at least 2 years in a global or regional capacity.
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, Oracle), advanced Excel, and familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong analytical capabilities in handling large datasets and deriving actionable insights.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an S&OP-driven organization within the food or consumer goods industries.
  • Familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques, machine learning tools, and predictive analytics.
  • Knowledge of global market dynamics and supply chain dependencies.
