The role:

Tyk is a leading provider of API management solutions, trusted by some of the world’s biggest enterprises. We’re seeking a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive to join our growing commercial team and play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition across the Americas region, with a particular focus on Fortune 500 and global key accounts. This role will report directly into the VP of Sales Americas. 

As a Strategic Enterprise Account Executive at Tyk, you'll be at the forefront of our commercial sales efforts within the Americas region. You will engage with top-tier prospects, including C-suite and technical decision-makers, to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities. 

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

  • Engage with senior-level decision-makers (executive & technical) at prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Sales team on territory acquisition and partner strategies.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to help develop targeted customer acquisition campaigns.
  • Represent Tyk at company events (virtual and in-person) to build brand awareness and generate new leads.
  • Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with prospects.
  • Secure new client acquisitions for Tyk.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, using the MEDDPICC methodology, from prospecting to closing deals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospects, ensuring accurate contract management.
  • Develop customer-facing documentation, including proposals and financial assessments.
  • Facilitate interactions with the Commercial Sales team, including executive-level meetings and technical demonstrations.
  • Oversee the account onboarding and handover process to the Account Management and Customer Success teams.
  • Continuously embody Tyk’s values and contribute to our broader mission.
  • Utilise prospecting and CRM tools to manage sales opportunities and track progress.
  • Actively engage in continuous learning, professional development and sales training.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in Strategic Enterprise sales, preferably with a technical product background.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, procurement processes, and MEDDPICC methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex deals, overcome objections, and craft compelling proposals.
  • Passion for APIs, digital technologies, software development, and web technologies.
  • Ability to understand both business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Executive-level presence with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and driven with a creative approach to sales and solutions.
  • Resilient in challenging situations, with the ability to adapt and persevere.
  • Exceptional multitasking and prioritisation skills, with a focus on achieving defined metrics.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
