Job description

Position Overview:
As a Japanese Remote Agent within the Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) division, you will be responsible for facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings, including customer service, medical, and other verticals via audio and video.  Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters! Part/Full Time options are available.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Provide effective audio and video remote interpreting
·         Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
·         Perform basic troubleshooting for technical issues
·         Provide superior customer service
·         Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
·         Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices
·         Complete assigned training(s) and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring
 
Qualifications/Experience:
·         U.S. resident
·         Full fluency in both English and Japanese 
·         Technology proficient (including but limited to: web based platforms, email, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel)
·         Preferred - professional interpreting experience
·         Preferred - industry specific certifications/trainings (CMI, CCHI, etc.)
·         Preferred - proof of 40+ hour medical interpreting training (ex: Bridging The Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
