Platform Engineer

We have an opportunity for a Platform Engineer to join our team with a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies like Azure Kubernetes Services, Grafana, and Azure DevOps.

The role involves ensuring the secure and smooth operation of infrastructure throughout the DevOps cycle. Responsibilities include designing system monitoring and alerting, creating tools for automated scaling and healing, collaborating with developers to optimize performance and cost, and contributing to infrastructure provisioning and a DevSecOps framework for automating delivery pipelines.   *This role is Remote in Panama

The Platform Engineer will collaborate with global teams to lead cloud migration efforts, implement DevSecOps practices, and ensure operational excellence across platforms like Kubernetes and Azure. The role demands effective communication with diverse teams, adaptability in a dynamic environment, and maintaining a composed positive demeanor.

100% Remote - Candidate must be located in Panama.  Local candidates only

-Educate development teams on best practices for DevSecOps integration.

-Focus on embedding security, compliance, and automation in the development lifecycle.

-Build and manage AKS clusters to support scalable and resilient infrastructure.

-Lead infrastructure migration to Azure public cloud, utilizing both IaaS and PaaS solutions.

-Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless infrastructure deployments.

-Assist development teams with CI/CD workflows for application deployment.

-Implement IaC using ARM Templates and Terraform for efficient infrastructure provisioning and management.

-Administer Grafana to design and maintain dashboards for real-time infrastructure health monitoring.

-Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.

-Manage GitHub repositories to ensure effective collaboration and version control practices.

-Work towards establishing GitOps principles to enhance automation, consistency, and traceability in deployments.

-Over 4 years as a Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Azure administration and proven problem-solving skills.

-Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps principles ensuring seamless collaboration and continuous delivery

-Advanced knowledge of Azure Automation, Kubernetes, GitHub

-Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps work item management, source control, YAML build, CI/CD, and Pipelines

-Advanced knowledge of IaC tools like terraform and ARM Templates

-Advanced knowledge of Powershell

-Advanced knowledge of Grafana

-Advanced knowledge of best practices related to scaling, tuning, performance, and disaster recovery

-Fluent in English, ensuring effective communication in technical and non-technical contexts.
