Community Engagement and Program Lead
About the Role:
As the Community Engagement and Program Lead at EquiLead, you will play a crucial role in building, engaging, and sustaining a thriving community of women+ professionals in the impact sector. Your primary focus will be on community development, engagement strategy, and program execution to support career acceleration of women+ professionals through networking, mentoring, job opportunities, upskilling and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Community Building & Engagement (80%)
Community Development (Online & Offline)
Build and nurture a vibrant community of women+ professionals, including job seekers, mid-career leaders, and those seeking career transitions in the impact sector.
Actively engage the existing LinkedIn and online community by facilitating discussions, sharing insights, and responding to member needs.
Onboard new members into the EquiLead community through existing platforms and expand engagement via forums, groups, and in-person networking events.
Engagement Strategy & Program Execution
Develop and implement an inclusive community engagement strategy to foster connections between women+ professionals and organisations.
Spearhead initiatives that support mentorship, peer learning, and professional networking within the community.
Conduct market research to gather insights for community programming, platform enhancements, and tailored career resources.
Moderate discussions and maintain an active, supportive, and safe environment for women+ professionals.
Strategic Partnerships & Relationship Building
Establish and maintain relationships with impact organisations, industry professionals, and mentors to expand opportunities for community members.
Collaborate with partners to co-create career-focused events, knowledge-sharing sessions, and networking opportunities.
Oversee research, curation, and posting of 10-20 relevant job listings daily for mid-to-senior women+ professionals in the impact space.
Use platforms such as LinkedIn, NGOBox, DevNet, and company websites to source high-quality job opportunities.
Supervise maintenance of an organisation directory aligned with EquiLead’s mission, structured to include details such as focus area, organisation type, size, locations, and hiring information.
Ensure data consistency for easy filtering, categorisation, and removal of expired jobs from the platform.
Event Curation & Community Programs
Design and execute virtual and in-person events, panel discussions, networking sessions, and upskilling workshops.
Create structured engagement programs that connect professionals with industry experts, mentors, and recruiters.
Facilitate peer-led discussions, knowledge cafes, and mentorship circles to encourage knowledge exchange and leadership development.
2. Communications & Content Development (20%)
Content Strategy & Community Engagement
Create and share high-quality content (articles, blog posts, newsletters, polls, quizzes, and social media updates) that addresses challenges and opportunities for women+ professionals.
Develop educational and career resources, including training materials, guides, and interactive tools for professional development.
Resource Creation & Knowledge Sharing
Curate and maintain a comprehensive resource hub featuring industry insights, leadership development tools, and sector-specific knowledge.
Support the creation of webinars, workshops, and learning materials that empower women+ professionals in their career journeys.

Experienced in event curation, content creation, and platform management.
Knowledgeable about the impact sector, career acceleration strategies, and professional networking.
