The Opportunity:

The Kingston Whig-Standard is looking for a Multimedia Journalist who can deliver well-crafted news and feature stories and take photographs and occasionally, video.

The Whig-Standard publishes daily online and four days a week in print. The publication enjoys a leadership role in the community as the newspaper of record in Kingston and the surrounding region.

What you’ll do:

• Write and edit stories for print and our website.
• Shoot still photos, and occasionally shoot and videos.
• Generate story/feature ideas.
• Engage in energetic use of social media.
• Ability to cover sports
  
  

Who you are:

• Candidates should have a journalism degree or diploma.
• A reliable car and a valid driver's license are needed. There may be weekend and evening shifts.
• Ability to edit videos using is an asset.
• Good knowledge of social media.
• A working knowledge of WordPress is also an asset.
