The impact you will make:
Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Marketer to join our growing Marketing team. We want someone who cares about this important work, and who’s driven to connect to our mission of helping these patient communities. The Associate Director of Patient Marketing Thalassemia and Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency (PKD) will focus on executing the patient strategy for mitapivat, a treatment commercially available for people living with PKD and in development for thalassemia, both underserved communities. This is an exciting time for Agios and the marketing team as we prepare for the potential upcoming mitapivat commercial launch in a new indication, Thalassemia. This position will lead key commercial projects to engage patients and their caregivers across both indications to build awareness, consideration, and requests for mitapivat in PKD, and thalassemia, once approved. This position reports to the Senior Director, Patient Marketing.
What you will do:
Represent the voice of the patient cross-functionally and as a key contributor to overall strategy refinement
Lead the development, execution and implementation of branded and disease education initiatives and materials for traditional and emerging channels
Oversee and manage execution of patient and caregiver tactics
Lead patient ambassador initiatives and execute national webinar program and support in-person field education programs.
Lead multicultural initiatives to ensure programs and tactics reach a diverse patient audience
Collaborate with digital marketing to refine and execute the omnichannel strategy including media mix, measurement, optimization, and analytics.
Monitor and analyze overall performance metrics, adjusting strategies and messages as needed.
Manage key activities with AOR and other agencies with accountability for achievement of goals
Partner cross-functionally with HCP marketing, digital marketing, patient advocacy, US medical affairs, commercial operations, market access, and field teams, to ensure strategic alignment and executional excellence
Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and corporate requirements
What you bring:
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
6+ years of pharma marketing experience, including 2+ years of DTC pharma marketing experience
Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work on-time and within budget
Clear communication skills, both verbal and written
Thorough understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements.
Experience navigating medical, legal, regulatory process
Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment -- outstanding relationship-building and influencing skills.
Flexibility to travel (up to 20% travel anticipated)

Work Location:
Location Agnostic: Work location for this role is based on employee's individual preference. This role has the ability to be either remote in the US or hybrid in our Cambridge Headquarters. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite and hybrid employees are expected to live within commutable distance to our Cambridge Headquarters. Remote employees work entirely from home except for attending Company sponsored events/ meetings. For employees who choose to work remotely, travel may be required for certain company events commensurate to the above job description..
