Job Summary: Under the direction of the Partner/Senior Manager, the Manager, Provider Compliance & Reimbursement is responsible for preparing cost reports and providing reimbursement consulting specifically within the Senior Living space. This role involves reviewing skilled nursing Medicare cost reports, understanding the skilled nursing Medicaid reimbursement systems for assigned states, assisting clients with cost report audits, and effectively communicating with both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Review of skilled nursing Medicare cost reports.
  • Gain an understanding of the skilled nursing Medicaid reimbursement systems for the state’s you are assigned.
  • Assist clients with cost report audits including reviewing of cost report adjustments and rate worksheets in the state’s you are assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred not required.
  • 5+ years experience with cost reports and healthcare reimbursement.
  • Proven Excel skills preferred.
  • Experience in client relationship development with the ability to maintain relationships by providing optimum client service.
  • Ability to work within budgeting and deadline constraints.
  • Enjoys working in a team setting.
  • Enjoys problem solving.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to scope, plan, and budget for projects, while adeptly prioritizing and organizing work under pressure to meet budget and time deadlines.
  • Skilled in managing client expectations, escalating effectively, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Ability to drive industry growth through internal networks and identify sales and cross-selling opportunities through various marketing channels, leveraging strong knowledge of firm's consulting offerings.
  • Works to build, maintain, and utilize individual relationships or networks with co-workers, clients, and other people who are, or might be, helpful in achieving work-related goals.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $96,000 - $160,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

 

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
