The Duracell Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience working and collaborating with a diverse mix of cross functional team members.
We expect this to be a 6-month internship. Internship will begin full time in the summer and reduce to part time during the fall semester.
The intern will report to the Kroger Team Leader and interface with a multifunctional internal team and relevant external resources. The Kroger sales intern will be responsible for (but not limited to):
analyzing Kroger sales fundamentals utilizing a variety of internal and external reporting tools (including 84.51) and providing an optimization recommendation
assessing the return on investment of Kroger digital advertising and providing a recommendation.
Responsibilities
Report Generation and Analysis – assist in creating and maintaining weekly reports for the Kroger Team utilizing PowerBI, BOPs and Kroger’s 84.51 database. These report will analyze relevant brand and category results, and key insights will be shared with the Duracell sales team.
Sales Fundamentals – Lead Kroger store audits utilizing Field Agent and Anderson Retail Services platforms to identify opportunities with merchandising, out of stocks and instore execution depending on market needs.
Competitive Assessment – Create tracking and documentation of battery category pricing and promotional activities at Kroger, both online and instore.
Market Visits – conduct in-person Kroger and competitive retailer market store checks for Duracell battery merchandising, displays and competitive activity. Assess ROI and report findings/insights.
Execute weekly project report that captures, consolidates and documents sales fundamental performance and merchandising plan executions at Kroger and competitive retailers for both Duracell and branded competitor.
Present formal key findings and recommendations to the Duracell team (mid-year, end of internship)
Qualifications
Enrolled in an accredited Cincinnati or Northern-Kentucky College or University actively pursuing a 4-year degree in any business related program.
Must be located in, or in close proximity, to Cincinnati, OH
Excellent analytic skills with the ability to identify and propose solutions
Strong communicate (verbal and written) skills
Ability to multi-task, be organized and maintain strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a diverse environment and interact with others cross-functional resources
Demonstrated leadership through school and/or community involvement.
Strong Knowledge/Skills of Microsoft Excel
Power BI a plus
