Job Summary

We are seeking a Nutanix Resident Specialist to manage, deploy, and optimize Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions within our hybrid and multi-cloud environments. This role is remote with occasional travel to Ashburn, Virginia. U.S. Citizenship is required.

This position involves working closely with our IT teams to manage cloud infrastructure, application lifecycle, and disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Nutanix technology, cloud automation, and DR best practices, including near-synchronous replication and advanced security measures.

THESE ARE THE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A NUTANIX RESIDENT:

Nutanix Cloud Manager (NCM) Management

• Administer and optimize Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI), ensuring reliable and scalable cloud resources
• Deploy and manage Calm for application lifecycle management, creating automated workflows, application templates, and orchestrating provisioning
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline routine tasks and increase operational efficiency
• Integrate Nutanix infrastructure with internal systems using REST APIs, enabling customized management solutions and further automation
  
  

Advanced Disaster Recovery (DR)

• Implement and manage Near-Sync Replication for low RPO (Recovery Point Objectives) to ensure minimal data loss during DR events
• Administer Nutanix Clusters (NC2), enabling seamless disaster recovery and failover between on-premise infrastructure and public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Design and implement DR strategies to ensure business continuity, including failover testing and recovery plan execution
  
  

Cloud Cost Optimization (Optional – Beam)

• Leverage Nutanix Beam for cost optimization, analyzing cloud usage and recommending best practices to reduce cloud expenses
• Conduct cost analysis and resource allocation optimization across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
  
  

Security And Compliance (Optional – Security Central)

• Manage and enforce security best practices using Security Central to identify vulnerabilities, monitor risks, and ensure compliance across the cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with security teams to implement proactive measures, responding to potential threats and mitigating risks in the cloud environment
  
  

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO HANDLE EVERYTHING ABOVE BECAUSE YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE LIKE:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on Nutanix solutions
• Experience with managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments, including DR implementation and management
• Hands-on experience with automation, orchestration, and scripting in cloud environments
• Strong experience with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI), Calm, and Cloud Manager (NCM)
• Proficient in REST APIs, scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.), and automation tools for infrastructure management
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Hands-on experience with advanced disaster recovery techniques, including Near-Sync replication and Nutanix Clusters (NC2)
• Experience with Nutanix Flow for micro-segmentation and network security
• Knowledge of Nutanix Beam for cloud cost optimization and Security Central for cloud security management is a plus
• Certifications: Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or Nutanix Certified Expert (NCE)
