Senior Product Manager (12 month FTC)

Location Commutable distance to Winchester / London

The senior customer product manager will have a good understanding of the energy sector and CSPN. They will be able to generate new ideas and drive improvements to grow margin and share and improve customer experience.

They will focus especially on DCC, as a priority customer and gain intimate understanding of the customer needs and experience, identify improvements and fill any product gaps.

They will own the Arqiva product vision aligned with the strategic aspirations of the DCC and drive alignment towards it internally and with external partners.

The role

  • Direct customer engagement and owning the continuous customer improvement agenda.
  • Own and drive the Arqiva vision and strategy for growth of the DCC solution informed by customer strategy and future platform roadmap
  • Engage closely with account and bid team for contract management activities and work with the radio product manager to support these.
  • Collaborate with the customer and account team to develop joint roadmap and pipeline of changes. This will include all renewal and bid activities.
  • Informed by trends in the energy market and service user requirements
  • DCC future of services programme engagement
  • Evaluate / support business case creation for technology investments
  • Maximise sales opportunity with new capabilities on roadmap
  • Understand and inform investment rationale
  • Drive Standardisation and productization of the DCC solution
  • Own the product and service catalogue for the DCC
  • assess/prioritise/ sequence change / project requests vs roadmap
  • lifecycle management of firmware - resulting capability improvements
  • Oversight of performance against contract and own relevant product activities Continuous service improvement
  • Accelerate pace of installations
  • Network optimisation and coverage improvements
  • Be the product owner for scaling and optimisation and “future ready” programmes as well as any other DCC related activities
  • Product lead for engagement with suppliers (EDMI, Sensus) for product roadmap and development activities Understand supplier contracts and support their management
  • Unify and align views from across the business to enable product innovation
  • Drive alignment between water metering and DCC developments
  • Contribute to and promote product management best practice within the organisation

The person

  • Commercial, technology and/or operational experience
  • Product management experience in B2B environment
  • Knowledge of the energy market and customer needs
  • Service management and/or customer programme experience in B2B environment
  • Business understanding of the Arqiva CSPN/DCC solution underpinning the energy metering and connectivity marker
  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile product development methodologies
  • Significant experience acting as a product owner in a cross functional product development process

  • Market Awareness Strong understanding of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics in the energy sector
  • Customer-Centric Approach Proven ability to prioritise customer needs and deliver measurable improvements in customer experience
