Your mission:

 We are currently looking to add an experienced and motivated Application Engineer to our Application Engineering team. This remote role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with our Authorized Dealer network and contribute to the growth and success of Reliable Controls in building automation. This position offers a high degree of challenge, flexibility, and autonomy as well as the opportunity to work for a great company whose pioneering building technologies help to increase comfort and decrease the environmental impact of modern facilities. In this role you will:

• Add value wherever possible to the brand of the Reliable Controls at every touch-point, both internally and externally
• Develop a trusting relationship with all of the Authorized Dealer locations throughout the region that fosters collaboration, mentorship and open communication
• Individually and as a member of the team, champion the Reliable Controls Quality and Environmental Policy with integrity and conviction
• Prepare, submit and execute an annual Application Engineering Plan with the objective of developing and delivering effective application engineering materials and services in support of the mandate of the Application Engineering department and the corporate philosophy of Reliable Controls
• Participate as a productive, positive and accountable member of the Application Engineering and Reliable Controls team, working in close cooperation and collaboration with team members at the direction of the Manager of Application Engineering
• Provide technical support and sales support as required
• Support sales staff in technical capacity when called upon to visit consulting engineers and customers
• Assist in the design, development, documentation, and maintenance of a complete standard application library for typical applications (this includes sample database, control language and graphics programming)
• Such other and further duties as shall be directed by Board of Directors or President of the Corporation
• Assist in the development, documentation, maintenance, and localization of application engineering resources and assets including guide specifications, product feature guidelines, demonstration systems, engineering templates, integration guidelines, etc.
• Participate in trade shows and other marketing activities when called upon
• Assist with and attend dealer and customer training courses as required

This role might be right for you if you have:

·        Experience in an application engineering role in the building automation system industry, particularly in system design, deployment, and support

·        Excellent written and verbal full professional, native or bilingual proficiency in English, fluency in Spanish would be considered a strong asset

·        Advanced, in-depth working knowledge of the industry hardware and software

·        Ability and eagerness to gain new skills and learn about Reliable Controls products

·        Strong time and project management skills with ability to stay focused and on task

·        Strong capability to consistently demonstrate high performance when working independently

·        Capability to see a “big picture” and drive for continuous improvement

·        Demonstrated people and communication skills
