Job description

Artsy is looking for a Sales Representative to engage with galleries across APAC, educating and consulting with them on their online presence and digital strategy, ultimately winning new business for Artsy. The art market in APAC is rapidly evolving, and galleries are increasingly looking for innovative ways to connect with collectors globally. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in that transformation, helping galleries expand their reach and grow their businesses through Artsy’s platform.

As part of the New Business Team, you’ll define and pitch Artsy’s value proposition to galleries, driving subscription revenue to sustain Artsy’s long-term mission of expanding the art market to support more artists and art in the world. Your work will have a direct impact on Artsy’s growth in the region, and you’ll be joining a team that values collaboration, creativity, and strategic thinking. You’ll report to the Associate Director of New Business and work closely with colleagues across global markets.

What You’ll Do at Artsy:
  • Consistently hit monthly and quarterly targets for new gallery partnerships in APAC

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring a strong conversion rate across inbound and outbound channels

  • Use a consultative sales approach to understand galleries’ business needs and provide tailored solutions

  • Build and manage a sales pipeline effectively using CRM tools (Salesforce, Outreach)

  • Navigate cross-cultural sales conversations with galleries across diverse markets in APAC

  • Stay informed about market trends, gallery needs, and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies

This role is a fit for you if:
  • You’re based in Seoul, Tokyo or Hong Kong and have the right to work where you live

  • You are fluent in English and also speak one or more of the following languages fluently: Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Cantonese

  • You’re highly organised, capable of managing multiple conversations and priorities at once

  • You love the thrill of building a sales pipeline

  • You’re energised by hitting (and exceeding!) targets, seeing each conversation as an opportunity to drive impact and grow the business

  • You’re always looking for ways to refine your approach—testing new outreach strategies, learning from rejections, and staying curious about what makes a prospect say “yes”

This role is unlikely to be a good match if you….

  • Are uncomfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment

  • Are not excited by the prospect of having to navigate ambiguity and adapt to a dynamic, target-driven sales environment

What success looks like in your first 3-6 months:

  • By month 3: You’ll have developed a strong understanding of Artsy’s value proposition and sales process, built a robust pipeline, and begun closing your first deals

  • By month 6: You’ll be consistently meeting or exceeding your targets, building strong relationships with galleries, and contributing valuable insights to shape our approach in APAC

We know no one is a perfect match on paper, so if you’re passionate about this role, please apply! We’re excited to learn how your skills, experiences, and insights could make a difference.

Please Note: We can only accept applications from those eligible to live and work in Tokyo, Seoul or Hong Kong. We are unable to sponsor visas for this position. This is a completely remote role.

Please note that we do not accept applications sent by email. You should submit your application directly through our careers website!
