We are looking for a Distinguished Cloud Architect, a highly experienced professional with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, multi-cloud strategies, and large-scale distributed systems. This role will drive strategic cloud architecture decisions, ensuring the scalability, security, and efficiency of mission-critical cloud environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSIGNMENTS

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead enterprise-wide cloud strategies, ensuring optimal architecture for performance, cost, and security.

• Design and oversee the implementation of highly complex, large-scale cloud-native architectures, including hybrid and multi-cloud solutions.

• Collaborate with C-level executives, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to drive cloud innovation and enterprise transformation.

• Lead governance, security, and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, SOC 2, GDPR, and other global standards.

• Architect and optimize cloud computing environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging best practices for scalability, reliability, and automation.

• Design and implement Kubernetes-based container orchestration strategies, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.

• Drive the adoption of serverless architectures, cloud-native development patterns, and event-driven architectures.

• Lead the development of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, and Ansible.

• Define and enforce best practices for CI/CD automation, GitOps, and cloud-native DevOps.

• Design and implement observability strategies, integrating Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, and cloud-native monitoring tools.

• Guide disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BC), and high-availability (HA) strategies, ensuring minimal downtime and robust failover mechanisms.

• Evaluate and implement cloud cost optimization strategies, leveraging FinOps principles.

• Act as a technical mentor and thought leader, influencing both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.

• Represent Radix at global industry events, technical conferences, and high-impact client engagements.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or large-scale distributed systems, designing and managing mission-critical environments.

• Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP, with hands-on experience in designing multi-cloud architectures.

• Extensive knowledge of networking, security, identity management (IAM), and Zero Trust architectures in cloud environments.

• Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE), containerization (Docker), and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).

• Advanced understanding of cloud-native storage solutions, including S3, EBS, EFS, Azure Blob, GCS, and distributed storage systems.

• Experience with cloud security frameworks, including IAM, KMS, WAF, encryption at rest/in transit, and SIEM solutions.

• Expertise in infrastructure automation and DevOps, using Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong background in high-performance computing, real-time data streaming, and edge computing.

• Ability to optimize cloud environments for cost, performance, and security, leveraging FinOps best practices.

• Experience leading technical decision-making in high-stakes environments, balancing scalability, security, and operational efficiency.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence executives, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Nice to Have:

• Expertise in AI/ML infrastructure, including MLOps, model deployment, and AI acceleration using GPUs/TPUs.

• Experience in IoT, Edge Computing, and Digital Twins for cloud-connected environments.

• Background in highly regulated industries, such as finance, energy, or healthcare.

• Open-source contributions, technical publications, or research in cloud-native computing, serverless, or distributed systems.

• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
