Job description

Position Summary: The Manager of Post Award Support Services oversees and manages the administration of externally funded research and grant projects from award initiation to project closeout. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, sponsor regulations, and federal requirements while providing excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. Manage processes, develop tools and resources, and act as a subject matter expert in post-award administration. Qualifications: Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Required Experience:
5+ years related work experience including prior experience with federal grants, contracts, and post-award administration. Experience in analysis of allowable costs, monitoring, reconciliations, accounts receivable, and driving metrics for senior management.

Preferred Experience:
5+ years grant accounting and management of sponsored awards experience. Experience with research data reports and reconciliations.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Expertise in grant and contract compliance, including cost accounting standards, subrecipient monitoring, audit standards, financial reporting, and billing. In-depth knowledge of Uniform Guidance. Ability to interpret award terms and conditions and sponsor regulations. Proficiency in post-award administration, including financial reporting, billing, AR closeouts, and audits. Skill in reviewing allowable costs and ensuring compliance, particularly under Uniform Guidance. Ability to perform high-level reconciliations, analyze data, and develop reports for analysis and quality assurance. Demonstrated ability to monitor expenditures against budgets, identify errors and inconsistencies, and recommend process improvements. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Background both pre-award and post-award with sponsored awards and grants administration. Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to meet defined deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional Information: In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00 to USD $100,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
