The Senior Compensation Business Partner is an advisor to people team partners and business leaders regarding compensation programs and solutions.  This role builds, evaluates, and implements Compensation programs and evolves them with corporate strategy and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Makes recommendations and provides advice for internal and external offers to attract and retain highly sought-after talent.
  • Project manager for maintaining and implementing compensation systems, tools, and salary review cycles..
  • Understands current and emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps
  • Develops solutions (such as manager training, programs, bonus guidelines, etc.), and identifies total rewards educational material and programs.
  • Develops relationships with key HR partners and stakeholders to facilitate the execution of total rewards strategies in alignment with business objectives
  • Serves as a consultant to the organization by providing technical/functional expertise and internal consulting services on compensation practices; driving alignment towards supporting business initiatives, strategic goals, and pay for performance philosophy.
  • Helps evaluate the compensation program market competitiveness  and analyzes the company's base pay and incentive plans to ensure achieving their intended objectives.
  • Participates in and completes market surveys and updates MarketPay and lookup tools to maintain internal market pricing and provide data to internal stakeholders.
  • Conducts analyses to ensure internal pay equity and external competitiveness; reviews pay practices; develops and maintains salary structures; and provides the appropriate tools to the leadership.Leads the administration of pay increase programs, reviewing changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy. Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal laws and regulations; company policies and procedures, and advises management on needed actions
  • Assists with evaluating  compensation projects and programs to identify and implement efficiencies in execution and administration.
  • Assists with benefit or other total rewards related renewal and data requests.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S. or B.A.) in business administration, human resources, or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Skills and knowledge required to operate at the position level; typically acquired with 8 years of related experience in compensation, systems, and human resources administration.
  • Experience in total rewards analysis and compensation programs administration for a company operating in North America, EMEA, APJ.
  • Experience designing and developing compensation structures, variable incentive programs, salary and market pricing software or internal tools,  and compensation guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate technical details and data to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, tailoring communication to the audience.
  • Strong excel skills with demonstrated expertise with complex formulas, vlookups, and indexes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still adhering to strong data-driven decision frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze data sets, interpret the data and propose actions with both quantitative and qualitative measures. 
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in preparing and auditing data, presentations and business shared collateral.
  • Ability to build and execute against detailed timeline driven, project plans.
  • Strong ability to influence others to decisions weighing risk and business strategy
  • Ability to partner with senior leaders, influence key decisions and drive alignment through quantitative measures.

Preferred:

  • Intermediate to advanced ability with Microsoft Office , particularly with Excel and Powerpoint, and Google Suite.
  • Experience managing compensation systems, projects and programs as the lead owner/executor.
  • Title harmonization and career architecture experience. 
  • Experience developing powerpoint/google sheets presentations conforming to corporate design templates.
  • Experience assisting with and delivering broad audience training and presentations on various total rewards topics.

Salary Range Posting: $105,000-$120,000

In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
