Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:
The Marketing Specialist plays an intrinsic role in driving the company’s growth by developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives upon which the Company’s success depends. This role requires a methodical, data-driven approach to pricing, sales and advertising, listing on various platforms, and product selection, while ensuring the Company remains compliant with industry and marketplace standards and regulations. By creating and implementing excellent marketing strategies, the Marketing Specialist will ultimately be responsible for the company’s long-term success. The ideal candidate must be ambitious, highly detail-oriented, self-disciplined, and committed to delivering high-quality, profit-focused Strategic Marketing solutions that will see the Company succeed in a competitive industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a remote, full-time independent contractor role where you will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with the IT and Process Manager. You are to develop strategies from scratch, and implement them. I expect innovative solutions and exceptional hard work from someone exceptionally ambitious, who has an unshakable commitment to strategic marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

 Strategic Marketing & Growth

  • Develop and implement profitable pricing models to maximize revenue.
  • Strategically position products on various online marketplaces to enhance visibility and sales.
  • Design and execute effective promotional campaigns across social media and other digital platforms.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-potential products or niches for introduction or discontinuation.
  • Able to conduct detailed and meticulous research, on various subjects, analyze data, apply and relevant models, to present meaningful data and conclusions to Management,

Customer Experience & Content Creation

  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience by refining engagement strategies and service standards.
  • Develop written content for marketing materials, blogs, and product descriptions.
  • Enhance brand messaging and engagement.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Document approved marketing procedures and strategies in the company’s Wiki (Knowledge Management System) for consistency and future reference.

 

 

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.
  • Minimum 1 year of international eCommerce experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft 365.
  • Native or near-native English proficiency (spoken and written).

Preferred Qualifications (Advantageous but not mandatory)

  • Experience in international trade compliance.

Employment Type: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm JST (8 am to 4 pm PH time) - with 8-core working hours inclusive of 1-hour break
