The Director of Philanthropy should be energetic, collaborative, strategic, and demonstrate a proven track record working with social benefit organizations to exceed assigned revenue goals. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced and resourceful non-profit development professional who is adept at building and managing strong relationships with internal teams and external supporters. Additionally, they should be well-organized, highly motivated, people- oriented, and excited to be part of a growing nonprofit organization. This role will report to the SVP of Revenue.
Here's what you'll do
- Manage and develop major donor portfolios; developing and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward AnitaB.org philanthropic community.
- Oversee grant-seeking activities for the organization including research, proposal writing and reporting requirements; assign and help prepare proposals and reports, as necessary.
- Support the planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising campaigns and events, and annual appeals to ensure acquisition and revenue goals are achieved.
- Work closely with the SVP of Revenue and the Marketing department to develop and implement an annual fund development plan that aligns with the organization's strategic plan and priorities.
- Work with the Marketing department to plan multi-channeled donor communications that inspire donor engagement and support.
- Design and maintain annual philanthropy budget, coordinating with the Finance Team to ensure consistency.
- Steward and continually improve data, data flows, and related processes in collaboration with IT to maintain accuracy, relevancy, privacy, and overall data integrity.
- Oversee the ongoing development and maintenance of fundraising-related systems including but not limited to donor management, research, gift processing and recognition.
- Build and manage a network of relationships within AnitaB.org and the community to facilitate collaboration.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned, which means to be agile and rise to the challenge: in service to our mission, from time to time, we do ask team members to take on, or volunteer to take on, additional or different duties outside of their formal job description.
Here's what we hope you'll bring
- Professionalism in team and external stakeholder interactions and communications, including honesty, integrity, respect.
- Extensive experience in corporate philanthropy, nonprofit management, management consulting, or similar field.
- At least 8 years of progressively responsible development, marketing, and/or programmatic experience, with at least (5) five years in a fundraising role.
- Outstanding major gift fundraising record in a complex nonprofit environment, with a demonstrated success record of donor solicitation and giving.
- Ability to demonstrate successful program delivery with emphasis on partnerships that support diverse communities.
- Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated experience with developing and cultivating strong partnerships with wide range of disciplines: business strategy, insights, sales, supply chain, along with interfacing with customers, solution partners and industry subject matter experts.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, requests, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Grant writing, management experience, and a knowledge of special events planning preferred.
- Track record of leading, managing, and integrating an ambitious, forward-thinking development program.
- Experience with systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database and wealth screening tools.
- Ability to travel as position requires.

The salary range for this position is $131,507 - $143,264, plus competitive benefits, including health insurance, vision, dental and a 403(b) discretionary match.
