Job Description:

The Workday Technical Analyst serves as the day-to-day contact for Workday technical support. This role will work closely with our business partners to provide functional and technical support within the Workday Platform. This position requires someone with an in-depth knowledge of the Workday and strong understanding of best practices within the Workday framework.

Job Purpose:
As the Workday Technical Analyst, you will partner with the Workday Platform team, HCM & FINS and other subject matter experts to support reporting, and technical configurations. This role requires a deep understanding of Workday's technical architecture, integration capabilities, and best practices. As well as, Understand relationships and dependencies on HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Finance and Budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Provide day to day support for functional & technical questions on Workday 

  • Triage and resolve support tickets 

  • Documenting requirements, tracking requests, and managing updates and delivery 

  • Complete report development and testing 

  • Assist in the coordination of maintaining issues and enhancement lists 

  • Support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, and other integration tools to ensure seamless data flow between Workday and other systems

  • Configuration and Testing: Configure and maintain Workday modules based on business requirements

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure high quality prior to deployment 

  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Workday products, administration best practices, and agile methodology best practices.

  • Perform regular system audits to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company policies and standards

  • Technical Documentation and End-User Support: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, integration specifications, and configuration changes

  • System Improvement and Innovation: Stay current with Workday releases, updates, and new features, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's processes

  • Research new releases and upgrades, and collaborate with the Workday team to provide recommendations regarding their use by the organization 

  • Support projects to roll out new modules and functionality including requirements documentation, design, UAT testing, implementation and training. 

  • Assist in developing user procedures, guidelines and training materials within Workday

  • Able to provide best practices on how to maintain an easy-to-use documentation structure.

  • Promote adoption and best practice of Workday suite amongst the user-community.

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
     

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years of Workday Platform experience (Workday Student and Adaptive a plus)

  • 3 years of Workday HCM and Finance report writing experience 

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience with financial, HCM or Payroll 

  • Calculated fields knowledge

  • Experience with data governance and reporting and/or integration processes, procedures, and best practices.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years related professional experience.

  • BA degree in technology field or commensurate professional experience.

  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Workday accreditation (certification) in Workday Financials and HCM (strongly desired). 

  • Workday Pro Certifications in Financials Integrations / Reporting (strongly desired).

Working Conditions

  • 100% remote with occasional on-campus meetings.

  • Some occasional travel to Workday training and annual Workday Rising Conference.

  • May require occasional evening and/or weekend work.
