The climate crisis is the defining challenge of our time—but it’s also the greatest opportunity for innovation, and a challenge we’re proud to take on. At Overstory, we’re harnessing cutting-edge technology to enable a resilient electrical grid that keeps communities thriving as our world changes.
The grid is the backbone of life as we know it. It powers hospitals, keeps food fresh, and ensures communities stay connected. But extreme weather, aging infrastructure, and growing wildfire risks are putting this critical system under pressure. All of this combined makes the electric utility industry the greatest opportunity for tackling climate change.
One of the leading causes of catastrophic wildfires and power outages? Trees and brush coming into contact with power lines.
That’s where we help. At Overstory, we use AI and advanced satellite imagery to pinpoint and prioritize vegetation risks before they materialize. By giving utilities critical analysis on those risks, we’re helping prevent outages, reduce wildfire risks, and accelerate the transition to a safer, more resilient grid.
Our team spans the Americas and Europe, and we work with utility partners across the Americas and beyond. We’re outdoor enthusiasts, musicians, artists, athletes, parents, and adventurers—15 nationalities strong and growing. What unites us is a passion for solving complex problems, a commitment to climate action, and the belief that technology should be a force for good.
Join us to help us build a more resilient world together.
The role
We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to join our People team. In this dynamic role you’ll combine high-level executive support for our CEO, Fiona, with office operations and recruitment coordination. In short - you keep our operations running smoothly. With your wide range of responsibilities, you’re able to make a big impact.
The role will evolve as our team’s needs evolve and it will undoubtedly be a grab bag of different things. You will need to be able to jump around from task to task, depending on where you are needed most.
You will be part of a diverse, fast-growing and remote-first team that is building the Overstory business so that it has a giant impact on the world. Join us in our mission to solve the climate crisis.
What you’ll do
As an Executive Assistant, you’ll help our CEO stay on top of her priorities and be fully prepared for meetings and business trips. You will manage her calendar, including scheduling meetings and preparing meeting materials. You manage incoming external communication and organize her business trips, including advising on which events to attend.
As we are a remote-first team, your office operations work will be less about managing the physical office and more about running our remote office operations. That includes coordinating company and leadership meetings, managing vendor subscriptions and equipment (mostly laptops), and taking care of the incoming mail in the Amsterdam office.
For recruitment, you’ll help our hiring managers provide a great candidate experience by coordinating the recruitment process. That includes keeping track of candidate progress and timelines, and scheduling interviews.
