WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
At Opus, we place high importance on building strong client relations. The Sr. Account Executive is responsible for managing multiple client engagements, serving as the primary client contact, providing strategic insight to help clients achieve their goals, manage all aspects of client programs and build relationships within the client’s organization.
The Sr. Account Executive understands the client’s business needs and strategy and finds opportunities for Opus to meet those needs (sales). This individual will define the scope of projects to meet client needs and ensure that Opus executes flawlessly for client projects. The Sr. Account Executive will be responsible for the Opus/Client relationship while efficiently engaging program and event managers, technical personnel and executive management with these accounts. The Sr. Account Executive develops and executes an account plan that will result in increased market share and revenues, share in key accounts, while also consistently mining new prospects.
The Sr. Account Executive connects with clients, identifies their needs, builds and manages client relationships, drives all client programs and executes an account strategy for the client and their programs. The Sr. Account Executive works within the Account Management team.
YOU SHOULD HAVE
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent, 8 to 10 plus years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong ability to manage and build relationships and trust with multiple stakeholders internal and external to the organization
Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
Experience with budget management, financial tracking and contract negotiations
Knowledge of accounting, marketing and sales tactics/strategies
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to make sound business decisions based upon researched and known data
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others to identify issues and develop solutions
Strong influence-management, negotiation, leadership and assertiveness capabilities
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple workstreams as an individual contributor
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and deliver quick results
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and maintains strong client relationships and creates client success by providing unique and effective solutions to our clients
Ability to recognize opportunities gleaned from industry conferences/meetings, publications, marketing leads and personal contacts
Scopes program with client and builds budget with the Customer Success Lead (CSL), obtains approval from client and manages SOW cycles.
Prepares project brief and creates kick off deck from template and schedules the meeting for all service lines involved.
Understands client goals and sets cadence of communication internally with the service lines involved.
Initiates the kick of the program with the client and key Opus service line stakeholders.
Conceptualizes strategic client programs, understanding the in-depth view of the account as a whole along with industry insight.
Responsible for keeping an eye on the account as a whole and how we are being measured on all projects produced within an account.
Attends weekly internal and external meetings for client insight
Manages for account success and client relationship, understands event cycles and customer needs and creates customer/partner relationship.
Sets up in-person quarterly touch-base meetings with client
Provides fresh strategic ideas to grow and expand the account and adds vision and creativity to client programs
Participates in development of new product lines, modification of existing product lines, & termination of ineffective product lines in an effective and professional manner
Grows Account business and meet revenue goals through a solid understanding of all Opus product lines and ability to upsell/cross-sell services
Drives revenue through recognition and realization of opportunity with existing accounts.
Manages the external (high level) wrap up with the internal teams and the clients
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting salary for this role is between $100,000 and $110,000. Our salary ranges are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements:
Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Individuals will be required to travel via airplane, train, taxi, car and/or other means of transportation as needed.
