The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Analytics Analyst to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for supporting Business Analytics Unit activities, including utilizing data in Data Lake and Warehouse, RiskMatch Data Mart, RiskMatch Platform, and other sources, to generate reports and insights that support strategy initiatives and business decisions for all levels of the organization.
Work with the Business Analytics team to design, maintain and deliver KPIs, Executive Insights and other reports to senior leadership.
Assist with project management for selected projects.
Create and maintain documentation (specifications, etc.) for all critical reports utilized by the organization.
Process confidential data and information according to guidelines.

Qualifications:

2-5 years’ work experience as a business analyst in the insurance industry or an insurance-industry related field.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Database Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related field.
Experience with one of the following programming languages - Sequel, R, Python.
Demonstrated experience in querying large data sets, relational databases, and executing data transformations.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical programming requirements and specifications.
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to professionally interact at all levels of the organization, including senior and executive level individuals.
