Position Summary: 
Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Marketing, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is an innovative, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of markets and buyers, responsible for developing and leading the strategic activation of healthcare conveners and partners to accelerate go-to-market strategy across a portfolio of SaaS solutions for our Acute & Payer markets. With an expert understanding of markets, buyers, users, and interdependencies across the healthcare continuum, the successful candidate for this role acts as a subject matter expert and portfolio evangelist who demonstrates and transfers knowledge about markets, buyers, users, and product/s across marketing and sales functions. This critical role is the glue that binds our business and product strategy to the partner marketing programs and tactics needed to achieve measurable results. 
 
As a Sr. Product Marketing professional, you understand our market, healthcare industry conveners, Medicaid, and partners, including how they make decisions to partner and activate market growth. You have the critical ability to grasp and translate product capabilities into business benefits to develop and lead marketing and co-marketing programs that increase awareness and drive demand.  You craft compelling narratives that bridge micro-experiences (community, regional, state) with broader macro trends. You love to elevate key concepts from micro-level insights, enhancing customer and prospect engagement to drive portfolio growth. 
 
You track performance to prove what’s working and what is not and back up strategic insights with evidence and then use that knowledge to continually optimize positioning, messaging, and narratives that resonate with buyers and empower our convener and partner channels to be successful. 
 
In addition to working with the Marketing team, you will regularly collaborate cross-functionally (Partnerships, State Directors, Sales, Corporate Strategy, Product Management, Solution Design, Customer Success and others). It is a balancing act that requires strong diplomatic skills, including knowing when to push back and when to dive in. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market and customer research to gather data about agency / partner / convener target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing process for the product/s, including key buyer and influencer roles 
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonate with the buying audience 
  • Work with business and product leaders to define the market opportunity for product/s; perform segmentation and targeting exercises that identify the segments with the highest propensity to buy 
  • Lead product introduction/launch planning including development and measurement of KPIs 
  • Collaborate with marketing peers to drive development of a variety of content including sales decks, solution sheets, customer references, thought leadership, campaign and other assets 
  • Provide market intelligence and buyer insights to support the development of campaign strategies that create demand 
  • Collaborate with Sales/Sales Enablement teams to enable Sales with clear value propositions, messaging and tools 
  • Collaborate with convener / partners and customer facing teams to understand contributing factors to increase adoption and manage/minimize churn 
  • Participate in product naming, pricing and packaging by providing market, competitive and customer insights, leveraging strong collaboration with market and competitive insights colleagues 
  • Support product management’s understanding of customer satisfaction, competitive landscape, and opportunities for new features or enhancements 
  • Manage to the financial and operational expense budgets 

  • Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree or equivalent experience desired 
  • 7+ years Strategic Product/Portfolio Marketing experience in B2B SaaS solutions 
  • Direct experience working at an HIE, Medicaid, State Government or similar agency would be a huge leg up. Preference for candidates with deep knowledge of the healthcare convener landscape including, but not limited to HIEs, Hospital Associations, State Government, Medicaid Agencies, and/or Associations  
  • Preference for candidates with experience navigating specific state / government contracts and agency messaging 
  • Preference for candidates with experience in creating successful co-marketing or partner channel marketing strategies and execution  
  • Preference for candidates with experience in driving successful partner marketing efforts with Medicaid, State Government, Payer, Health Plan, Population Health, and/or other healthcare SaaS solutions 
  • Experience with Product Management and/or Product Marketing principles such as Practical Product Management or Pragmatic Marketing. Certification in Pragmatic Marketing, Product Marketing Alliance, or SiriusDecisions, Product Marketing a plus. 
  • A  “roll up the sleeves” attitude; a self-starting orientation with the intense drive to “make things happen"  
  • Proven ability to create value propositions and messaging strategies, and link product launches to organizational themes and goals 
  • Proven ability to develop strategies for creating pipeline for new offerings as well as upsell, cross-sell and account-based marketing programs to grow existing relationships 
  • Strong marketing expertise combined with strong business acumen that seeks and acts on market insights, financial performance and other indicators 
  • Exceptional communication, story-telling and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences 
  • Critical thinker with excellent time management, interpersonal, decision making, and organizational skills 
  • Team player and strong collaborator with a variety of people and teams. Great at building relationships and maintaining diplomacy in times of stress 
  • Polished professional with an enthusiastic attitude who thrives in fast-paced environments, with an ability to adapt to and help lead change.
