Salary
  • Unlicensed: $35.47/hr. - $39.38/hr. (73,700/yr. - $81,900/yr.)
  • Licensed: $37.60/hr. - $41.74/hr. ($78,200/yr. - $86,800/yr.)

Position/Job Summary:
The Clinical Services Trainer is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive clinical training program that fosters a trauma-informed culture and promotes evidence-based practices for all clinical roles within Outpatient programs. This position will provide clinical-based training and additional training topics to enhance the skills of direct care staff. This position will oversee and guide the implementation of new and redesigned online training materials through analysis, task coordination, problem-solving, consultation with stakeholders, and the evaluation and execution of completed courses. This role will support the management of the Learning Management System (LMS) and oversee the maintenance of the staff training database. The Clinical Services Trainer will facilitate opportunities for employees to enhance and refine their clinical skills, thereby improving overall performance. 
  
Position/Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create training materials, manuals, and develop e-learning modules. 
  • Lead and deliver training to clinical staff on treatment planning, clinical case notes, clinical documentation, and clinical electronic record training. 
  • Work directly with Quality Improvement department to identify and interpret trends from clinical chart reviews.  
  • Recommend, develop, and implement strategies, processes, and training for individuals, teams, and larger groups based on the findings of these reviews. 
  • Conduct ongoing training needs analysis and develop appropriate action items to include the development of training materials. 
  • Assess the effectiveness of all training initiatives through effective employee feedback strategies. 
  • Provide clinical and system consultation to program teams to support competency and ensure integration of training into daily agency practice, with focus on practice improvement strategies, including sustainability planning, outcomes monitoring, and quality improvement support. 
  • Work closely with department and team leaders to establish ongoing essential learning curriculum for all clinical staff. 
  • Pursue professional growth and development by seeking out learning opportunities and integrating new learning into daily work practices. Maintain a working knowledge of current trends in community mental health. 
  • Participate in staff development, in-services, and training related to equity and inclusion in the workplace; models appropriate behaviors; develop, recommend, and implement improvements to business practices with awareness and understanding of the impact in a trauma-informed and culturally diverse organization.  
  • Oversee program activities, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and program requirements. 
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external systems to coordinate services and enhance program effectiveness. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to developing a thorough knowledge and application of the Sanctuary model and other organizational policies & practices.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams. 
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to evaluate training needs and outcomes effectively. 
  • Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Policy Adherence: Administer policies, procedures, and program needs in needed timeframes. 
 Required Position Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field  
  • Two years' experience working with children/adolescents in a mental health setting 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems 
 Preferred Position Qualifications:
  • Experience with e-learning highly preferred  
  • Knowledge of adolescent developmental issues, trauma, abuse and neglect, substance abuse and dependence, delinquency, peer influence, and related group and individual interventions.  
Other Requirements:   
  • May require evening work or hours in excess of routine schedule to ensure optimal program operations and service delivery 
  • Position is hybrid (remote/in-person) and the candidate must have an appropriate workspace to complete documentation, phone calls, and video conferencing  
  • Able to pass a comprehensive criminal history background investigation  
 
Working Conditions:  
  • Environment: Work is done in clinical offices, community settings, including Morrison Residential, administration buildings, public locations, and social service sites. Breaks and meals are subject to interruption. Universal Precautions and remaining alert to the environment are critical to address the potential for violent behavior, exposure to disease, biohazards, noise, and contaminants. 
  • Mental demands: Work assigned is diverse and may involve addressing new and unique circumstances. The work might be unpredictable and disrupt planned tasks, requiring flexible time management. 
  • Physical demands: Ability to remain calm and emotionally available serving youth, adults and or families who have experienced trauma. Proficient with office equipment and physical movement. Ability to perform physical interventions if needed in accordance with program and training. Physical dexterity for reaching, stooping, and repetitive wrist and hand motions.
