Job Title: Corporate Electrical Reliability Manager
Overview:
The Corporate Electrical Reliability Manager oversees the electrical reliability program across North American
operations, ensuring consistent compliance with program requirements for electrical systems. This role
focuses on driving improvements, reducing downtime, and implementing best practices to enhance the
performance and reliability of electrical systems across multiple sites.
Responsibilities:
o Ensure consistent and reliable performance of electrical systems across North American facilities,
aligning with organizational reliability targets.
o Support the regional Management of Change (MOC) process by providing reliability reviews and
approvals for new or modified electrical designs and maintenance care plans.
o Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for significant electrical system failures,
ensuring corrective actions are identified, implemented, and tracked.
o Proactively address emerging reliability challenges for electrical systems through the "Bad Actor"
process, developing and executing resolution plans.
o Oversee and report on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) classification of losses related to
electrical systems.
o Develop and deliver technical training programs to enhance the expertise of regional reliability,
maintenance, and operations teams.
o Share best practices across North American facilities with other manufacturing sites.
o Drive reliability initiatives to improve the performance of electrical systems, identifying and
implementing strategies to minimize downtime and optimize functionality.
o Manage the development and compliance of electrical system care plans, ensuring adherence to
the Inspection, Testing, and Preventive Maintenance (ITPM) program requirements.
o Provide technical reviews and guidance for engineering projects, collaborating with Original
o Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and project teams on specifications and reliability considerations
for new electrical equipment.
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
o Comprehensive understanding of electrical systems in an industrial manufacturing context.
o Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., API, NFPA, ISA, IEEE, OSHA).
o Proficiency in electrical reliability principles, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) management,
and predictive maintenance technologies.
Reliability Engineering Knowledge:
o Expertise in reliability assessments, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA),
Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM), and RCA methodologies.
o Experience with predictive maintenance techniques, data analytics, and emerging reliability
tools.
Communication and Collaboration:
o Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and
present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Safety and Compliance:
o Strong commitment to safety, including knowledge of electrical hazards, lockout/tagout
protocols, and compliance with relevant safety standards.
Education & Experience:
o Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
o Significant progressive experience in reliability and maintenance within the petrochemical, refining,
or industrial manufacturing industries, with a focus on managing electrical systems.
