Job description

Our client is a contemporary funeral home offering simple cremations, personalized memorials, and transparent pricing. They are dedicated to making things easier for grieving families during their time of need by providing compassionate and modern funeral services. Most families are unprepared for losing a loved one, and traditional funeral services are often outdated and difficult to navigate. They are partnering with the city's best venues to deliver an unprecedented level of service. They pride themselves on exceptional customer care, unparalleled hospitality, and clear, transparent pricing—all of which have earned them the gratitude of many families.

As a Customer Care Representative, you will serve as the first and primary point of contact for families seeking their services. Your role involves guiding them through the cremation process, explaining our offerings, and assisting them in making the best choices for their loved ones. You will also coordinate with their Operations teams, including Funeral Directors, to ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.

Location: Fully-Remote (Work from Home), Shift-based (9 AM - 5 PM or 10 AM - 6 PM EST)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Family Engagement: Manage incoming calls from grieving families, offering empathetic support during their most challenging times.

  • Service Guidance: Handle inquiries regarding pricing and service arrangements, providing recommendations that enhance the end-of-life experience.

  • Process Communication: Develop a deep understanding of the cremation process from start to finish, and clearly communicate these details to both prospective and current families.

  • Follow-Up: Maintain communication with prospective families through phone, text, and email to keep them informed and engaged with our offerings.

  • Experience: You bring 2+ years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or similar roles where you managed difficult or nuanced situations. Experience in crisis hotlines, social work, or related fields is also valuable.
