Nordson Industrial Coating Systems, a global leader in leader in industrial coating systems, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in France. Summary of the role
The Area Sales Manager (m/f/d) is responsible supporting and build exemplary Nordson’s client relationships and creating an effortless experience through all commercial and service interactions. Moreover, building his own network with all industry partners inspiring leads generation to create new business opportunities, bringing into Sales Process ending up as Orders and therefore new Nordson customers. This process may include market research, development deals and projects, technical advice on products and solutions offered, technical assistance, and quality service. In addition, this role requires strategic engagement with other departments like Marketing, Quoting Support, Operations and Engineering to develop strategies but also problem solve and drive improvements based on customer data and direct customer feedback.

Role and Responsibilities
Responsible to achieve the assigned Sales Budget in his territory driving operational excellence by deploying NBS Next methodology to ensure that Leadership Level Performance is achieved in the Division by developing detailed territory map and review it quarterly with Regional Manager.
Sales activities includes Market Research, Qualifying leads and Prospects, Preparing and presenting Quotations, close the sale and ensure smooth implementation and transfer information to other departments involve for Project Management and Execution.
Implement and use NBS Next understanding of our customers’ requirements, trends, risks, opportunities and satisfaction level assessing customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services, respond to more complex customer application enquiries.
Full assets and P&L responsibility for his job including develop, forecast and management of the budget
Provide vision and leadership, take full functional responsibility and ownership for performance and results
Ensures the proper installation and start-up of all systems through proper utilization of technical personnel
Ensures that Customer Service Representative is fully briefed on all aspects of new installations and the account responsibility has been effectively transferred.
Conducts effective and well documented performance reviews
Continuously improves process and operations to drive higher quality results and more efficient workflow and processes - including the identification and implementation of new tools and systems to improve the efficacy
Lead high impact projects requiring to senior leader to be accountable for the success of the project
Proactively stays current with industry trends, regulatory requirements and software enhancements, identifying and communicating new items as needed to aid other team’s members in performing tasks efficiently and effectively
Driving operational excellence by continuous improvement in all areas in order to ensure best in class operational processes
Work cross functionally with Marketing, Operations and Engineering to help with customer opportunities, resolve issues, planning, etc.
Participate and visit Trade shows on behalf of the company, support all Marketing activities focused on the given Area of sales or where required by the company, organize, and manage local customer events, presentations and roadshows.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the organization
Provides customer service in emergency situations
Skills and Qualifications
Proper Bachelor degree education enabling to perform the job completely and thoroughly (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Automotive, Material Science or Engineering, General Technical Education, Sales, Marketing or equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years’ in recent successful field experience selling of high value capital equipment is required, finishing industry is preferred
Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
Fluent French and English both written/spoken (any additional language is valuable)
Home office base located at North –East (Troyes & Reims area)
Solution-based selling capabilities, from developing customer need to project follow-up and delivery.
Analytical and problem-solving skills – able to think proactively and resolve issues with their own initiative
Proven ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as well as independently in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment

Ability to adapt quickly to changes to work on new initiatives and strategies directed by management
