Position Title: BIM Technician
Position Location: Remote - work virtually from anywhere in the United States

JOB SUMMARY
The BIM Technician will support the MEP Engineers and coordinate across various groups and offices. This position will use Revit MEP and Navisworks for production of a variety of projects. The scope of work will involve both small and large-scale mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection projects. This person will work as part of the Engineering Team and interact closely with the project management team to produce construction documents.
The BIM Technician will receive general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. May work independently or under immediate supervision. May serve as trade lead on routine projects of limited scope.
The BIM Technician will communicate and operate in line with organizational goals and values, as well as departmental objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the Production of Revit Documents (50%)
Model and annotate Revit MEP drawings for buildings and constructed facilities under a senior engineer’s supervision
Utilize Revit MEP software to complete drawings and visual aids
Collect data and other information for construction documents
Work as part of the engineering team and interact closely with the project management team
Assist in the Management of Revit Models and BIM 360 / ACC Projects (45%)
Assist the team in resolving various visibility and graphic issues in Revit.
Publish, Package and Consume Models on BIM 360 / ACC.
Export CAD, NWC and PDF’s from Models
Reporting (5%)
Prepare project progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Manage personal hours using company tools
Completion of Assigned Tasks and Deliverables on Time and on Budget
Performs Other Related Duties as Assigned
Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (BEGINNER LEVEL FOR ALL THE FOLLOWING)
Knowledge of engineering design principles and MEP production
Knowledge of modeling and annotating duct systems, electrical, plumbing and piping layouts and design
Skilled in troubleshooting various visibility and graphic issues in Revit
Skilled in using Revit MEP
Skilled in Administration of BIM 360 / ACC Projects
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), along with exceptional organizational skills for file management
Skilled in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
Ability to work successfully in a remote environment thru effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
Ability to work with engineers, other designers and drafters as part of a design team
Ability to work with engineers to incorporate MEP design into Revit and the ability to understand all parts of engineering contract documents
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form (technical and non-technical information)
Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision
Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

TRAVEL / RELOCATION REQUIREMENTS
Up to 5%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states
Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meeting for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc.
Potential relocation opportunities may exist per project needs
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Degree in engineering, construction, or related discipline
OR
Two years of experience producing MEP construction documents using Revit
