About the Role
Our team is growing and we’re hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test to join our engineering team and enable our next phase of growth. Canary's engineering team is fully remote!
You will work with the Platform Engineering team on automating testing processes to ensure seamless and effective software delivery.
ResonsibilitiesDefine automation strategiesDesign and develop new automation frameworksMaintain and improve existing automation test suitesMonitor, analyze and report test automation resultsContribute to automation infrastructure improvementsCollaborate with Developers, QA, and PMs to identify automation test cases that will ensure product qualityQualificationsAdvanced degrees in computer science, software engineering7+ years of experience in software test automation or software developmentProficient in automation frameworks and CI test toolsExperience and ability in developing test automation frameworks from scratch or familiarity with one or more existing automation frameworksStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAn attitude of a ‘test first’ approach rather than a ‘test at the end' approachExperience working in Unix/Linux and AWS environmentsExperience with automation projects in JavaScript or PythonWe also work hard to ensure Canary is a fun and exciting place to work.
