Job description

Overview:

 

 As a Physician Liaison, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with medical professionals, particularly doctors who diagnose autism across a multi-state territory. Your primary responsibility will be to connect with physicians, educate them about our services, and facilitate patient referrals to Golden Steps ABA. You will serve as a bridge between the medical community and our organization, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.  

 

This role is to specifically support a three-state territory. You MUST reside in one of the following states: Georgia, Maryland, Arizona, Utah or Missouri. This position will require monthly travel.

Responsibilities:

A day in the life:

 

    • Physician Relationship Building: 
    • Establish and nurture professional relationships with physicians, pediatricians, neurologists, and other relevant healthcare providers. 
    • Attend medical conferences, seminars, and networking events to connect with doctors and stay informed about industry trends. 
    • Arrange virtual and in-person meetings with physicians to discuss our services, treatment options, and patient care pathways. 

 

  • Education and Awareness: 
    • Educate physicians about the benefits of ABA therapy for individuals with autism. 
    • Provide information on our programs, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices. 
    • Address any questions or concerns raised by physicians regarding our services. 
  • Referral Management: 
    • Collaborate with physicians to identify potential patients who could benefit from ABA therapy. 
    • Facilitate patient referrals by ensuring timely communication and necessary documentation. 
    • Maintain accurate records of referrals and follow-up activities. 
  • Marketing and Outreach: 
    • Help develop marketing materials (brochures, presentations, etc.) to share with physicians. 
    • Organize workshops, webinars, or lunch-and-learn sessions for physicians to enhance their understanding of ABA therapy. 
    • Promote our services through targeted outreach efforts. 
  • Feedback and Improvement: 
    • Gather feedback from physicians regarding their experiences with our services. 
    • Use feedback to improve our processes, address any concerns, and enhance collaboration. 
    • Act as a liaison between physicians and our clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. 
  • Compliance and Ethics: 
    • Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain confidentiality when handling patient information. 
    • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements related to healthcare interactions. 
    • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; or equivalent experience. 
  • Prior experience in a physician liaison or healthcare sales role is advantageous. 
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and ABA therapy is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to build rapport with physicians and gain their trust. 
  • Strong organizational skills managing referrals and follow-ups. 
  • Proficiency in using digital communication tools for virtual meetings.
