Mission

Lead and develop a high-performing servicing engineering team that delivers high-quality, scalable, and innovative solutions fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, continuous improvement and timely delivery of impactful projects while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals and priorities.

What you will do
  • Leadership and Team Development

    • Built and nurtured a high-performing team by fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.

    • Ensured development, growth, and retention within the team by identifying strengths and ambitions, offering coaching, and hiring as needed.

    • Lead the structuring of career ladders for engineers in your team.

    • Owned the engineering hiring pipeline and work alongside the talent acquistion team to attract great talent.

    • Effectively onboarded new members into the engineering organization.

  • Delivery Excellence

    • Be accountable for timely and quality delivery from your engineering team.

    • Moderated team retrospectives and own the software development process within your team.

    • Tracked and repored engineering KPIs weekly to measure progress and identify improvement areas.

  • Scalability and Efficiency

    • Scaled systems and architecture to support increased traffic and originations

    • Streamlined processes to enable the team to achieve these goals without increasing infrastructure or headcount.

  • Collaboration and Alignment

    • Fostered collaboration across teams and areas to ensure seamless execution and alignment with company priorities.

    • Worked closely with Product teams and stakeholders to integrate feedback and adapt to business demands.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Pushed for operational excellence by improving system performance, reducing technical debt, and enhancing system monitoring and alerting capabilities.

    • Made contributions to our Architecture Decision Records repository to improve our platform and workflows.

  • Technical Involvement

    • Reviewed, provided feedback, and improved technical designs within your team.

    • Developed and deployed new features to production sporadically using our CI/CD pipeline.

    • Reviewed pull requests and transfer knowledge to your team.

Requirements
  • Proven experience leading high-performing engineering teams in fast-growing companies or fintechs

    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development.

    • Minimum 1-2 years leading technical teams in dynamic, fast-paced settings.

    • Proven ability to build, manage, and scale engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

    • Skilled at resolving team conflicts, giving constructive feedback, and inspiring continuous improvement.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills:

    • Ability to build, develop, and scale high-performing engineering teams with a focus on talent retention and development.

    • Demonstrated experience in creating high-performance cultures, fostering strategic alignment, problem solving mindset, excellence driven, collaboration, results orientation, and continuous skill improvement. Strong people processes foundations in identifying, attracting and hiring great engineers to join your team., retention, development, onboarding.

  • Solid technical expertise in backend systems, architecture.

    • Strong technical expertise in backend systems, architecture, and development practices, with the ability to engage in technical discussions and support team development.

    • Growing knowledge of our software architecture, including the principal styles and patterns that we are using, and staying technically relevant within the organization.

    • Deep knowledge of the system's internals staying technically relevant within the organization.

    • Ability to guide architectural decisions and ensure the delivery of maintainable, scalable systems.

  • Outstanding project managements Skills

    • Strong ability to scope, prioritize, and deliver projects while managing dependencies and timelines.

  • Meet with the hiring manager for a 60-minute video chat interview. We will ask you questions about your engineering management background and technical proficiency.

  • Meet with the engineering manager and strong ICs for a 60-minute video chat interview. We will ask you questions about System Design and System Arquitecture.

  • Meet with one Engineering Manager and a Recruiter for a 60-minute video chat interview. You will conduct a 1:1 role-play

  • Meet with the Product Manager for a 45-minute video chat.We will ask you questions to evaluate the synergy between you and the product area and your product delivery mindset with the team.

  • Meet with out CTO for a 45-minute chat to talk about the engineering vision, what we are building, and how you will contribute to our product and organization.

  • Meet with one of our founders for a 30-minute chat to talk about the company vision, You will be able to ask any questions about the culture and how we work at Addi.
