Your role at Exness:

Our team is growing and we are currently looking for an experienced Virtualisation's DevOps Engineer.

As a Virtualisation's DevOps Engineer you will manage, support and develop the Company’s virtualization platform and will have experience with public and private clouds (OpenStack-based is liked), Kubernetes management, software defined networks and storage.

If you are not already located in Cyprus, relocation to Cyprus is a requirement for this role.

You will:
  • Scope of technical work planning.
  • Reviewing and updating technical requirements.
  • Conducting PoC of new developing solutions.
  • Representing results matching requirements with a strong technical systematic approach.
  • Developing deployment procedures, scripts, playbook, HCL.
  • Deploying virtualisation environments / private clouds within automation.
  • Supporting existing and new virtualisation platforms deployments.
  • Developing deployment automation on top of virtualisation platforms / private clouds.
  • Maintaining observability for virtualisation platforms.
  • Ensuring platforms availability and reliability.
  • Communicating with Platform Engineering and SRE teams.
  • Updating software with security patches.
  • Testing and rolling out software upgrades.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Strong engineering education. (Bachelor / Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent).
  • Good IP-based network understanding with experience in SDN (software defined networks).
  • Strong Linux mastering skills (namespaces, cgroup, qemu/kvm).
  • Proficient in Containerisation and Orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift).
  • Advanced understanding of virtualisation on qemu/kvm.
  • Experience with OpenStack (Keystone, Cinder, Neutron, Nova, Glance, Octavia at least).
  • Experience with storage connected to virtualisation platforms / private cloud.
  • Well scripting skills in Terraform and Ansible (AWX is a plus).
  • Scripting skills with Helm charts.
  • Experience with Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK).
  • Team player skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • English language proficiency at or above upper-intermediate level (for international collaboration and studying English-language standards and documentation).
