Position Responsibilities
Hands on technical leadership role performing day to day operations.
Lead and mentor team of Cloud Delivery engineers responsible for Cloud Delivery operations.
Serve as an escalation point both for issues and complex technical troubleshooting.
Manage ticket queue.
Troubleshoot complex problems, provide software fault diagnosis, resolve operational issues, and performance bottlenecks.
Presents performance metrics and KPIs to Cloud Leadership and key business stakeholders regarding opportunities for innovation, risks areas, and trends to watch.
Create, review, and update policy and technical controls on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance and process optimization across the teams.
Ensure teams deliver consistent service availability by monitoring our environments’ stability and performance using the right metrics and tooling.
Performing day-to-day product operations like provisioning new AWS Instances, load balancers, network, and systems administration.
Incident and Problem Management – Execute incident response plays, lead major incident bridges, and participate in post-incident review process for incident prevention.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science field or equivalent.
10+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
10+ years of experience with building, managing and operating enterprise-grade Windows or Linux production environments
5+ years supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and systems at scale on public cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services is desired).
3+ years of experience applying an automation first approach to problem solving leveraging configuration management tools and scripting.
Desirable: experience with Terraform and/or Ansible.
Experience with Incident Management and ITIL service operations (ServiceNow experience desired)
Experience with any of the following operations systems: AppDynamics, Splunk, PRTG, SolarWinds DPA, and PagerDuty.
Passionate and curious about ways to leverage technology with self-directed learning
Must be detail oriented, results driven, and have excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a matrixed team environment to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems.
