Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic- Indiana
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our fleet of heavy-duty construction equipment. In this role, you will drive to job sites, diagnose and repair machinery, and perform routine maintenance to ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with heavy machinery, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks. A top-performing Heavy Equipment Mechanic will bring expert care and precision to servicing even the most complex machinery.
Responsibilities:
  • Travel to job sites to inspect, service, and repair heavy construction equipment.
  • Perform inspections of trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose faults using computerized testing tools and technology.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components and parts as needed.
  • Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on vehicles and attachments, such as winches, blades, and side booms.
  • Perform major repairs and overhauls when necessary.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics to address smaller-scale tasks.
  • Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management promptly.
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed following safety protocols and company standards.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic is required.
  • Proven experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, construction equipment, and computerized testing tools.
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy machinery safely.
  • Willingness to work after-hours or overtime, as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
