Job description

We are partnering with a leading provider in the low-voltage controls industry, recognized for exceptional customer service, next-day delivery from UK stock, and strong customer relationships. The company is dedicated to being a strategic partner for its clients, helping them reduce supply costs and improve operational efficiency.

They are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand their market presence across Northern England and Scotland (**The Location listed on the advert is just a guide, as job boards don't do general areas very well). This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to join a forward-thinking company with a rewarding commission structure and substantial growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Growth: Identify and secure new business opportunities in Northern England and Scotland, focusing on low-voltage control solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, positioning the company as the preferred supplier.
  • Industry Insight: Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to offer innovative solutions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Create and implement a robust sales strategy to meet and surpass revenue targets.
  • Customer Support: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless order processing and exceptional after-sales service.
  • Sales Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain up-to-date CRM records for pipeline management and performance tracking.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven success in sales within the low-voltage controls industry is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage a large territory effectively.
  • Performance-Oriented: Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
