Job description

For our partner, an international banking organization in Warsaw, we are looking for OpenShift Administrator who are versed in the intricacies of the platform on-premises, possesses foundational VMware skills, and are adept at Cloud-native concepts to help us scale our operations and maintain excellence in service delivery.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage and configure OpenShift 4.x environments, focusing on the comprehensive stack introduced in version 4.14
  • Cloud-native application development and deployment by leveraging OpenShift's integrated tools and managed resources within the cluster, to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Foundational VMware knowledge to interface with virtualized environments, ensuring seamless integration and performance of OpenShift clusters
  • Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) for cluster federation and multi-cluster management, OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for persistent data storage solutions, Quay for container registry management and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes (ACS) for security
  • In architectural planning and implementation, advocating for Cloud-native best practices and principles to optimize system architecture and resources within the OpenShift ecosystem


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
  • 3+ years of experience in OpenShift environment, prior experience with OS Red hat administrator
  • Expertise in managing OpenShift 4.x environments, with a deep understanding of its Cloud-native components and architecture
  • Understanding of VMware environments and their integration with OpenShift
  • Basic experience with web application architectures and their corresponding technologies
  • Foundation in Cloud-native principles and managed resources in OpenShift, with the ability to deploy and manage applications leveraging OpenShift’s full capabilities with Red Hat ACM, ODF, Quay, and middleware technologies
  • In relevant Red Hat technologies, especially related to OpenShift and Kubernetes, are highly valued like: Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (EX280), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes( EX180) , RHCE, Linux Foundation CKA, CKAD and CKS
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Willingness to work on-call
