Staff Accountant

 SoftBank Robotics, the global leader in workforce automation, is seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our fast-

growing Finance team that is focused on shaping the future through artificial intelligence and robotics. We

The Staff Accountant thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities within Accounts

Payable and Receivable – a self-starter, high-motivated individual who can work independently but who is also

an awesome team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the accounts payable process, which includes vendor set-up/maintenance, invoice processing, payments, vendor inquiries, 1099s, etc.
• Perform required accounts receivable functions including credit, collections, cash receipts, credit card processing, electronic transfers, customer inquiries.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Record payroll journal entries from payroll processing system.
• Maintain fixed assets and cloud computing asset records.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, including posting of journal entries and performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
• Support the preparation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement fluctuation analyses and investigate any variances.
• Evaluate, create and implement processes and controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SBRA policies.
• Proactively evaluate accounting processes and systems, along with identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities.
• Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors.
• Perform other ad hoc accounting projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, emphasis in accounting highly preferred. CPA certification a plus.
• 3+ years of public and private accounting work experience. Big 4 experience is a plus but, not required.
• Operational accounting experience in a growing SAAS technology business.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed. Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
• Strong written and oral communication, team player, detail oriented and sound organizational skills
• Ability to work independently to identify problems early and explore possible solutions. Thrive in a high performance, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, SharePoint applications, Concur.
• Experience with SAP by Design and Zuora.
