We're seeking a Software Asset Admininstrator to join our team! In this role, you'll be responsible for daily and strategic management of the software portfolio to optimize the value, cost and risk of software. You'll track, maintain, and coordinate license and maintenance agreement renewals, lifecycles, compliance, and procurements in the Asset Tool, participate in the negotiation of highly complex, enterprise-wide contracts with vendors such as Microsoft and Adobe and assist in migrating new UPH acquisitions software licensing, into UPH agreements.
Location: Remote- strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
Develops reports that pull data from various sources showing license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, procurement status, and data gaps and research and develop standardized Software Asset Management processes.
Works closely with subject matter experts, including system architects, system administrators, project and program managers, financial managers, and engineers to obtain critical information required for the management of software.
Determines software licensing distribution based on established licensing agreement which greatly impacts operating practices for UnityPoint Health. Drives decisions regarding software licensing models, budgeting and terms that have a direct impact on the Client IT Infrastructure.
Participates in the negotiation of binding licensing contracts with software vendors which is a major assignment affecting business operations to a substantial degree.
Responsible for the significant financial impact that the software licensing contracts incur.
Provides expert advice to management regarding the licensing and budgeting for licensing.
Mitigates licensing conflicts or issues with software vendors.
Responds to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information. Responsible for the creation and distribution of all software related deliverables, metrics, and other contractionary obligated reports.
Maintains knowledge of software vendor licensing rules and terms, EULAs.
Maintains enterprise policies regarding software licensing and procurement.
Understands Software Asset Management (SAM) best practices.
Works tickets from the ServiceNow queue requesting quotes and purchase orders as needed.
Qualifications
What You'll Need:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
ITIL or IAITAM CSAM certification preferred.
Experience:
Required:
2 years related experience.
Strong licensing knowledge of Software vendors: Microsoft, Adobe, VMware.
Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies.
Conceptual knowledge of Information Technology (e.g. software, networks, etc.)
