PeaceHealth is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Contracts Manager. This remote role requires the incumbent to reside in OR, WA, AK or TX by date of hire.

The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $38.38 – $57.58. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

The priority for this position is to initiate, review and execute purchasing contracts for the purpose of managing the expense of supplies, equipment and services. Responsible for managing the process of identifying and executing strategic system-wide opportunities. Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders. Assists with ensuring departmental goals are achieved, timelines met, and service excellence provided in all aspects of work. Subject matter expert.

Essential Functions

  • Assigns work for Contract Manager and Contract Coordinator staff, managing priorities and providing technical assistance. Assists in setting goals for team.
  • Monitors team projects and mentors staff, providing constructive feedback.
  • Trains new staff and provides feedback for leadership on staff performance.
  • Ensures quality through tracking of performance quality metrics.
  • Develops, implements, and manages contracts for products, equipment and services for the use by PeaceHealth and affiliate member customers consistent with policies. Encouraging and reporting member contract compliance.
  • Interacts with PeaceHealth legal to ensure potential contract risks are addressed.
  • Participates in the recruitment and on-going support of PeaceHealth affiliate program.
  • Ensures contract compliance with applicable local, regional or national regulatory entities.
  • Partners with colleagues at all levels to support change and performance initiatives.
  • Promotes, establishes, and maintains open and effective communication with caregivers and leadership. Develops strong working relationships with key stakeholders, as well as internal and external partners. Work in a collaborative manner with all leadership and caregivers throughout PeaceHealth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience or training may be substituted.
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years Progressive growth in healthcare supply chain analytics, contract administration, procurement or other industry supply chain management /contracting.
  • Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the use of Word and Excel.
  • MS FrontPage, SharePoint, Access, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Experience with Lawson Materials Management information system preferred.
  • Experience with the use of Change Management tools preferred.
  • Experience working with diverse customer groups.

  • Ability to speak with diplomacy in working with customers and ensure service excellence.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Predominantly operates in an office or warehouse/supply room environment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
