Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
- Act as a technical authority in constructability of Major Bridge types such as Cable Stayed, Extradosed, Arch, Bascule, Structural Steel, Precast Segmental or CIP Box Girder
- Leverage previous on-site experience from working for large Heavy Civil contractor on Major Bridge Construction Projects
- Provide guidance to project teams and mentoring junior estimators
- Develop and maintain relationship with Clients, Owners, Contractors, Suppliers and Engineers
- Prepare and/or review constructability reports for Clients
- Participate in client task force meetings and discussions, addressing technical inquiries and providing solutions
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential project issues.
- Assist in development and review of construction cost estimates
- Prepare and/or review CPM construction schedules
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Review bid packages including but not limited to comparison and analysis of competitive subcontractor and supplier bids
Preferred Experience:
- 20+ years of experience is preferred
- Proven Experience working for Heavy Civil contractors on-site on Major Bridge Construction Projects over $100M in Management or Engineering Role
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Experience Estimating with HCSS HeavyBid or similar estimating software preferable
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6
- Bluebeam Revu experience a plus
- AutoCAD experience a plus
- Remote Position, Willingness to relocate to Duluth, GA office preferred
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 -15 years of professional experience.
